King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques , has left the New York Presbyterian Hospital in good health after two successful back surgeries.
A Royal Court statement said Wednesday that the Monarch will remain in New York for recuperation and to continue his physical therapy.
The statement said King Abdullah left the hospital late Tuesday evening.
The King expressed his sincere thanks, gratitude and love for the people of the Kingdom for their noble feelings toward him. The King also expressed his thanks and appreciation of the leaders of Arab, Islamic and friendly countries and for all people who offered him their best wishes for his good health and early recovery, the statement added.
Prince Mish’al Bin Abdul Aziz, Chairman of the Saudi Allegiance Commission , thanked Allah the Almighty for the successful treatment of the King.
“What happened to the King was similar to a national and unplanned referendum on his popularity and showed how much his nation cares for him,” he said.
Prince Mish’al prayed for a quick return of the King to the country.
Crown Prince Sultan said , “It is a day when words are short of expressing the feeling to see the King leaving the hospital. Allah has accepted the sincere prayers of the people to bring the King back home in full force and to prolong his life to continue with the development march and the prosperity of this nation.”
Prince Naif, Second Deputy Premier and Interior Minister, said , “I thank Allah the Almighty for all His blessings and grace He bestowed on the nation with the recovery of the King. We all are so anxious to see the leader of our nation back home after completing the physiotherapy to continue with his wise leadership.”
