For my sister sun sun that wants to improve her speaking ability i would recommend you to buy the famous collection of small books called penguin readers" each book consists of CDs and some vocabulary explanitions at the back page.so i think that it would be a useful exercise to hear the cd and read at the same time and when you get used with hearing try to learn by heart some sentences and repeat them while hearing the CD without looking at the book .and what's really good in that collection of books is that you can select your level of english and also the subjest you are intersted in.so do not forget to check the book before buying it especially the cover of it in which many information are written

A summary to 3 pages of the globalization and culture
Critics of globalizations believe that trade increase do promote material prosperity but at the expense of cultural and spiritual values, therefore, turning the glob into one big mall. The article that we are about to discuss comes as a result of an arguments between Tyler Cowen and Professor Benjamin barber made in a public meeting.
Tyler Cowen states that markets support diversity and freedom of choice, that trade gives more chance for artists to inspire their sense of creativity. To explain his point
Of view he comes up with many examples; Cuban music, Persian carpets, the blossoming of world literature and ect. To help developing his topic he also compared between two societies one is America which is known as a well developed market and the other is pygmy which is a very primitive and small market. The comparison results that big markets is rich of many kinds of music while small one is specialized only in one type of music. Therefore it can be interfered that richer societies with more market have given us more diversity more competing kind of music .at the end of his speech he also adds that globalization tends to do increase differences ,but it liberates differences from geography that’s why he thinks that’s crossing a border wouldn’t be much of a shock in the future than it’s today.
However, professor Benjamin Barber offered four major points of criticism ,the first is authenticity and gives examples of tandoori ,crepes and theme parking in order to list some kind of diversity that tries to distance us from the authentic origin.
The second point of criticism was about fast food and fastness of fast food which he consider himself as an assault to our lives and as a disastrous factor to familial values religious and ritual practice but at meanwhile a perfect food for a busy industrial economy land.
And at last he had mentioned the mistakes Tyler made when he said that there is a perfect market and neglected the inequalities between societies. The American troops and Iraqi an ones, for example
The end of the article was an answer to barber’s critics by Tyler who also did list some negative points of barber’s ideas, among them was his inability to see the positive sides of what is said before, fast food for instance, and adds that fast food is not destroying slow dining, in fact, the two are growing together as the size of the market increas es.
