While I was setting with my friends talking about different issues arising these days, the topic of travelling abroad came into the subjects. We started throwing ideas, experiences and plans for the coming vacation and suddenly one of my friends asked: "Are you really with travelling abroad?" This question stuck into my head and I spent some time thinking about. People travel abroad for different reasons such as tourism, education, work opportunity and others. In my view, being with or against travelling depends on the reason for travelling and I will try to explain that in this paper.
Many people, especially in the gulf, prefer to travel to western or eastern countries in the summer vacation. This for sure would affect their countries economically due to the lack of market income. Therefore, rather than travelling to far countries, it would be better to spend vacation in different part of our countries. That would achieve the objective of us who are looking for new place to enjoy and our country which benefits from us financially. Another reason behind my view is the high costs of travel which would sometimes require applying for loans to be able to cover the travel expenses from Air tickets to accommodation. On the other hand, for those who travel to complete their education I think they would benefit from that. This is because foreign universities and schools, in my view, provide a higher standard of education and wider fields of speciality. As a result, students will have the chance to gain the best knowledge and apply it in their countries in future.
As a conclusion, I think everything in life has its own advantages and disadvantages, but it always depend on people’s choice to get the best or worse out of things. Finally and as I am writing this paper my father decided to spend the summer vacation in KSA, and this decision makes me feel happier for my own family and country.
