Super nanny : well , I'm mother as well and i understand your needs ,listen ,Plan family viewing ahead of time. Ask your children to let you know in advance what they would like to watch so that you can consider whether or not it is appropriate. If some of your favorite shows include violence , try to watch them after your children have gone to bed, even if this means you must videotape them.
Mom : Oh really good idea I'll try it and then tell you results
,so do you think all cartoons are suitable and safe for my kids to watch?
Super nanny : yes , dear Remember to Check out animated shows carefully. Many cartoons are definitely not appropriate for children.
Mom : i see , that's why i asked you , i have feelings they are not all right, and i wanted to make sure from you ,and that will lead me to ask you do you think it's better to let my children watch t.v alone?
Super nanny: no, not at all Try to watch TV with your children, rather than letting them watch alone or even unsupervised. This allows you to deal with inappropriate content immediately if it comes up
Mom: I'm still worry what can i do if my children visit their friends and they start watching t.v ?
Super Nanny: don't worry, it's really easy ,Make sure your children are supervised when they visit their friends. While you can't control what your child does outside your home, you can let other parents know about your family's TV rules, and ask them to respect your wishes when your child visits their home.
Mom: I'm thinking of bringing a babysitter ,i guess she will help me especially when I'm at work away from my children ,and what do you advice me in this case ?
Super nanny:If you leave your child with a babysitter or other caregiver, make it clear what your children are allowed to watch. Leave a list of appropriate shows or videos, and ask the caregiver not to watch other programs with the children in the room.
