The dictionary definition of mother is ''a famale parent.''.But in fact ,the true definition
of a mother encompasses so much more.A mother is also a teacher , a caregiver, and
a nurse.She is a storyteller, a scientist , and an arttist.She is a chauffeur,a chef,and
sometimes,even a father ! A mother is compassionate ,strong,independent,and
courageous.She is loving,nurturing,and resilient.
Miraculously, mothers take on the job without any formal training. Their tour of duty
begins from the moment that they become pregnant .They forge ahead without an
official rulebook or set of instructions.A mother learns her skills only by trail and error----
from her nine -monthpregnancy well into her child's college years.And whether she is
a working mother or a stay-at-home mom,she is never theless always on active duty!
Whether she 's preparing for labor ,rocking ababy to sleep.
yet, it,'s exhausting.And no there isn't a big fat paycheck at the end of the work week.
But, the rewards of motherhood are plentiful,to say the least.A kiss from a grateful
daughter,a smile from an appreciative son, or a heartfelt thank-you from ateenager
can be great rewards.In what other capacity can a woman complete an exasperating
work week and find such enormous satisfaction in little pleasues such as these ?
