While I was thinking of writing this article, I had few questions coming into my mind on whom I would select to be my hero. Whenever I was asked this question by any anyone, I usually had to spend a long time trying to think of one! That does not mean I don’t have any, but I can’t think of someone who had reached to that status other than the last Prophet ‘Mohammed’, who I consider to be a super hero.
In these days, we can see super heroes all over the TV channels. Some people might consider ‘Opera’ to be their hero just because she offered a poor family a house. Moreover, if we ask a teenager about his hero, he would definitely pick a movie star or a singer he admires. Nowadays, it is sad not to see anyone selecting Prophet Mohammed as their idle and considering ordinary people in the top of their list just because they were successful in achieving their fame. Prophet Mohammed was and will always be the most remarkable man who has ever lived on earth. He spread a religion, built a nation and taught huge moral lessons that we as ‘Muslims’ will obey forever. Regardless of all the pain, trouble, rejection and hate he faced, he always showed strong patience and insisted in completing the message of spreading Islam sent to him by Allah. I think human history has not seen such a complete person like him who purely deserves to be a hero.
Finally, I strongly feel that heroism should have its own definition and condition of selecting people who deserves this title. A hero should have strong abilities that will benefit a whole nation and not just depending on a name or look. That in my opinion what makes people get confused when asked "Who is your hero?"
